Fabulatorio intends to experiment with the ability of the book as an object to convey and communicate meaning; to investigate the relationship between form and content.
Fabulatorio is an editorial experience that aims to produce responsibly, with local and medium industries, optimising processes and publishing at affordable prices.
Fabulatorio is also born with the conviction that the value of the global resides in the local. It aims to establish a global communication conscious of the fact that localness is what differentiates and gives authenticity to that communication. The ‘local’ dimension will also be present in content, as much in the broadcasting space for Galician authors and creators as in research into subjects and ideas that we may consider of interest in our circumstances, without sacrificing that same reverberation in other places and other realities.
For Fabulatorio, localness will also mean producing and developing editorial projects with the printing industry and the closest of professionals, in a dynamic of learning and the mutual, loyal exchange of knowledge, interested in obtaining quality editorial and graphic results.
We want Fabulatorio, through books, to be a meeting place for common interests and sensitivities. We would like, in 2012, to make our own the words that Anxo Casal addressed to Rafael Dieste to present Nós (Us), a very important Galician publishing house, in 1928: “In NÓS we are all: some of us already know we are involved and others, such as yourself, who are also of the company, we keep close at hand, though they may not have realised it.”
